Joseph Purita has been injecting orthobiologics since before most of the field existed. He was among the first orthopedic surgeons in the United States to use platelet-rich plasma for musculoskeletal injury, served as the inaugural president of the American Academy and Board of Regenerative Medicine, and has treated athletes out of the major American leagues and abroad. PUR-FORM is the clinic he built in Boca Raton around that work, co-founded with the Doran family. The orthopedic side is what Purita is known for: PRP, cell therapy, and shockwave for osteoarthritis, tendinitis, bursitis, muscle tears, ligament and labral injury. He also runs protocols for autoimmune conditions including fibromyalgia, Lyme, Hashimoto's, lupus, and Crohn's, and for recovery after orthopedic or plastic surgery. His more recent interest is oxygenation and cellular stress, and PUR-FORM offers EBO2 ozone therapy, hyperbaric oxygen, intermittent hypoxia training, and plasmapheresis alongside the injection work. Purita lectures internationally on heat and cold shock proteins and intermittent hypoxia, and gave his 200th conference talk recently. Around that sits a longevity practice: testosterone and bioidentical hormone therapy, peptides, NAD+, medical weight loss, cryotherapy, contrast therapy, infrared sauna, red light, vitamin IVs. Roughly two dozen modalities in one 3600 FAU Boulevard building, sold either ร la carte or through a monthly membership. The clinic's own disclaimer is blunt: it is not presenting regenerative cell therapy as a fix for any condition, disease, or injury, and nothing on its site has been evaluated or approved by the FDA.
