Regenesis Stem Cell Center is a single-physician clinic in south Huntsville, Alabama, run by Dr. Charles Lee. Lee spent about 30 years in cardiothoracic and high-risk obstetric anesthesia in New Orleans and Huntsville, founded Comprehensive Anesthesiology Services in 1995, and began fellowship study in anti-aging and regenerative medicine in 2007. He founded Regenesis in August 2013 and started offering bone marrow procedures the following year. Six staff work alongside him: a nurse practitioner, two registered nurses, a phlebotomist and medical assistant, a lab technician, and a front office administrator. Everything the clinic injects comes from the patient. Marrow is aspirated on the morning of the procedure under local anesthetic with oral or IV sedation, concentrated in the clinic's own lab over two to three hours while the patient waits, then placed under real-time ultrasound or fluoroscopic guidance along with platelet-rich plasma drawn the same day. Regenesis calls this protocol its Gold Standard Stem Cell Therapy and says it holds each injection to a minimum nucleated cell and platelet count. It does not use donor, umbilical-cord, amniotic or placental products, and its FAQ pages argue at length against clinics that do. Most of the caseload is orthopedic: knees, hips, shoulders, backs, necks, elbows, feet and ankles, mainly osteoarthritis, old sports injuries and pain left over after surgery. Regenesis also runs a specific COPD programme, using the same marrow concentrate and platelet-rich plasma to target lung inflammation in patients with chronic bronchitis or emphysema, plus protocols for peripheral neuropathy, hair restoration and sexual health, and a stellate ganglion block service for PTSD. These cell therapies are investigational, no major insurer pays for them, and each plan is quoted after Dr. Lee has reviewed the patient's history and imaging.
