About Regenerative Medicine LA

Mark Ghalili was a young internal medicine physician when a course of ciprofloxacin left him unable to walk. He recovered through regenerative and integrative treatment, found that a large number of people were dealing with the same thing and getting nowhere in conventional clinics, and opened Regenerative Medicine LA at 9201 Sunset Boulevard to treat them. Fluoroquinolone toxicity is still the practice's centre of gravity, and it draws patients from outside California for it. The wider caseload runs to peripheral neuropathy, long COVID, multiple sclerosis, Crohn's disease, psoriasis, Parkinson's, dementia, chronic fatigue, fibromyalgia, and Lyme. The clinic's own framing is mitochondrial: treat the cellular machinery rather than chase symptoms one at a time. On cells the practice is narrow and says so. Material comes from the patient's own tissue during an in-office procedure and is prepared in a physician-led setting. No donor cells. Around that sit IV nutrient infusions, peptide therapy, hormone replacement, PRP, LED light therapy, hair treatments, and a skincare line the clinic developed under the name Regen Labs. The disclaimers are worth reading because they are unusually direct. The site states that Regenerative Medicine LA does not claim autologous cell procedures diagnose, treat, or prevent any specific disease, does not present them as FDA approved, does not promise results, and does not advertise them for named conditions. Not everyone is a candidate, a physician consultation comes first, and the listed risks are soreness, bruising, swelling, bleeding, and infection.

  • One of the few US practices built specifically around fluoroquinolone and Cipro toxicity recovery
  • Autologous cells only, taken from the patient in an in-office procedure, no donor material
  • Founder Mark Ghalili was himself disabled by ciprofloxacin and treats from that experience
  • Also runs IV nutrient infusions, peptide therapy, hormone replacement, and PRP
  • States plainly on its own site that the procedures are not FDA approved and results are not promised
  • Sunset Boulevard office in Los Angeles, open Monday to Friday

Dr. Mark Ghalili

Founder and Medical Director

DO, board certified in internal medicine

Ghalili trained in internal medicine and was practising when ciprofloxacin toxicity left him severely disabled. Conventional care had little to offer, and he rebuilt his health through regenerative and integrative treatment. He founded Regenerative Medicine LA to work with patients in the same position, particularly those injured by fluoroquinolone antibiotics, and was named a Los Angeles Top Doctor in 2019. He also developed the clinic's Regen Labs skincare line.
