Reddit discussion

Mixedacross 2 threads

Reddit discussion is very thin. One 2022 question, crossposted to r/NorthCarolina and r/raleigh, drew a single substantive reply: a self described patient said pellet therapy eased her menopause symptoms and rated the initial lab workup worthwhile. The original poster found the phone consultation noticeably sales driven.

What Patients Say

The reviews are about hormone pellet therapy. Two long-term patients, one on testosterone and thyroid treatment for over ten years and one receiving pellets quarterly, report more energy and improvements in anxiety, low mood and focus, and the second names Rachel for checking levels and adjusting between visits. A third, a pellet patient since May 2024, says the clinic declined a scheduled testosterone pellet in January 2026 after they began hormone therapy through another provider.

Experience

I receive pellets quarterly - it has been a life changing experience. The constant anxiety, feeling tired and depressed, inability to focus...gone! It's also nice not to mess with patches or creams. I see Rachel - she's awesome! She checks my levels, answers any questions and makes adjustments as needed. I've been on these pellets for many years and I highly recommend Optimal Bio.

Experience

Buyer beware. I was a moderately* content T pellet patient with Optimal Bio from May 2024 through early 2026. However, when I decided to start HRT (estradiol gel and progesterone capsules) through another provider in October 2025, Optimal Bio refused to provide my scheduled T pellet in January 2026. The decision felt abrupt and unexpected, and the explanations they offered didn't make scientific sense given my medical background. My impression is that they were simply unhappy I chose not to buy into their pellet-based E therapy.

Experience

Optimal Bio has been taking care of my testosterone and thyroid needs for well over 10yrs. They took me from constantly feeling tired and worn out, to having the energy to be active, get things done, and enjoy life. I'm 69yrs old. It keeps me stepping, but I can keep pace with my grandson, and I know he loved it.

How to read these reviews

Every review here comes from someone who says they were treated at Optimal Bio in Cary, North Carolina. Our moderation team reads each one before it goes up. We check that it describes a real visit and stays inside our content rules. We do not check whether the treatment worked. Optimal Bio gets no say either way: the clinic cannot approve a review, edit one, or have one taken down. None of the reviews here are treatment-verified yet, so read them as first-hand accounts rather than confirmed records.

What patients are reviewing

Optimal Bio is a regenerative-medicine provider based in Cary, North Carolina, operating since 2012. Patients most often come to it for Anti-Aging / Longevity and Erectile / Sexual Health. Its listed accreditations are Board-Certified Physicians.

Keep that spread in mind while you read. A review of a anti-aging / longevity case tells you little about how the clinic handles the rest of what it offers, and a patient who lives nearby has a very different week from one who flew in for a single visit.

Before you book

Reviews are one input. Ask Optimal Bio for the rest directly: which cell source and preparation they would use for your condition, who performs the procedure, what the quoted price covers, what follow-up you get, and what evidence they are relying on. Vague answers to any of those are worth noticing.

The full Optimal Bio profile has the team, accreditations and treatment list. There is a separate page on what Optimal Bio costs, and you can read how we rank and verify clinics and how we moderate reviews. For anything clinical, ask a doctor who knows your history.
