Reddit discussion

Mixedacross 7 threads

Biote comes up often in menopause, perimenopause and TRT subreddits, and reports are split. Some posters describe better sleep, energy and libido after pellets, while others report weight gain, hair shedding, acne or mood swings they could not adjust because the dose stays fixed for months. Clinicians question the pellet model.

What Patients Say

Reviews here are divided and all concern hormone pellet therapy. One reviewer, treated after having her ovaries removed, reports her hair stopped falling out and her sleep, mood and focus improved. The other two describe problems: complications after a first round of pellets and an explanation from the company they found unconvincing, and a menopause patient who says she was given a high testosterone dose alongside estrogen and progesterone, developed voice changes, extra body hair and bleeding, and felt dismissed when she raised it.

Experience

Biote needs to train their retailers much better. More monitoring is necessary. Even after the first dose of pellets caused complications Biote's answer as to why where wrong. Find a better thought out solution to you needs please. For your well being.

Experience

Thought this clinic would help me with my severe menopause issues but the doctor created other more severe issues. Unbeknownst to me I was given a very high dose of testosterone along with estrogen and progesterone. My voice got scratchy, body hair started to grow more, I had bleeding after nothing for 7 years and there were physical developments that are now permanent despite it being over a year. When I brought it up the doctor acted all put out about it.

Experience

When I had my ovaries removed, I did not realize all that would follow. They took much more than I had expected. BIOTE has given me back a big part of myself. And my hair! Is no longer falling out! Anyone needing help with sleep, moods, emotional regulation, brain fog, ADD, getting things done, sleeping through the night, sugar cravings, mindless eating, and anger โ€” this is for you.

How to read these reviews

Every review here comes from someone who says they were treated at Biote in Irving, Texas. Our moderation team reads each one before it goes up. We check that it describes a real visit and stays inside our content rules. We do not check whether the treatment worked. Biote gets no say either way: the clinic cannot approve a review, edit one, or have one taken down. None of the reviews here are treatment-verified yet, so read them as first-hand accounts rather than confirmed records.

What patients are reviewing

Biote is a regenerative-medicine provider based in Irving, Texas, operating since 2012. Patients most often come to it for Anti-Aging / Longevity and Erectile / Sexual Health. Its listed accreditations are Board-Certified Physicians. Staff are listed as speaking English and Spanish, worth knowing if you are flying in.

Keep that spread in mind while you read. A review of a anti-aging / longevity case tells you little about how the clinic handles the rest of what it offers, and a patient who lives nearby has a very different week from one who flew in for a single visit.

Before you book

Reviews are one input. Ask Biote for the rest directly: which cell source and preparation they would use for your condition, who performs the procedure, what the quoted price covers, what follow-up you get, and what evidence they are relying on. Vague answers to any of those are worth noticing.

The full Biote profile has the team, accreditations and treatment list. There is a separate page on what Biote costs, and you can read how we rank and verify clinics and how we moderate reviews. For anything clinical, ask a doctor who knows your history.
